ANNOUNCEMENT

The European Public Health Association (EUPHA) is a multidisciplinary scientific society. It aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research in Europe. Currently, EUPHA has member organisations in 21 countries in Europe.

ANNUAL EUPHA MEETING 2001

HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMS THROUGHOUTH EUROPE
AND THEIR INTERACTION WITH
PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY DEVELOPEMENT AND ACTIONS

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for EUPHA members and other public health experts to explore the currently existing health information networks and development. At the same time, the meeting will provide a forum for people of the different disciplines involved in health information systems and their development and offer the possibility to discuss common problems with those involved in policy making. It is also expected that the meeting will create an opening for interaction between the health information system and its audience.

The major themes of the 2001 meeting:
